Before Zoom!

Get
ready to Zoom!
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple
and painless. It begins with a short preparation
to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! clinician
then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening
Gel, which is activated by a specially designed
light. Teeth typically become at least six
to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute
fluoride treatment competes the procedure.
You'll be amazed with the results. In most
cases, teeth get even whiter the first few
days after the procedure. |

How
Zoom! Works!
The Zoom! light activated gel was developed
after years of research by Discus Dental,
the leaders in professional take-home tooth
whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated,
pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated
by the Zoom! light, gently penetrates the
teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration.
With proper care and an occasional touch-up
at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for
years.

Recently
we have added "The Wand" to our treatment
so that we may deliver the most comfortable anesthesia
yet. The wand delivers a constant flow and
volume of anesthetic at a slow pace to yield injections
with little or no pain.
The Wand allows us to do many procedures
without drooping lips, numb tongues and crooked
smiles.
The Wand has been well received by our
patients and you will appreciate it too!
DEXIS Digital X-rays
Digital
x-rays provide you with 60 to 90% less radiation,
easy to see and understand x-rays, much less time
and better diagnostics. A truly amazing technology!
Dexis™ digital x-rays are an extremely
progressive addition to our dental office. Digital
x-rays are computer generated images. These images
require up to 75% less radiation than with conventional
film type x-rays. X-ray projections appear on
computer monitors within a few seconds in full
view of our special patients. The computer allows
enlargement, highlighting, magnifying, inverting,
clear viewing, and contrasting of x-ray photos,
so that you as a concerned patient can view your
teeth at the same time as the office staff.
Intra-Oral Camera
The
old saying "A picture is worth a thousand
words" is so true. In the past, a dentist
would check your teeth and then explain their
findings in terms that were difficult for some
patients to understand. With the aid of this new
and exciting camera, our doctors and staff can
show you exactly what they are seeing.
Even better, the image is magnified 35 times
its normal size and displayed on a flat screen
monitor. This dramatically improves our ability
to diagnose small cavities, dental fractures and
leaking fillings which allows for earlier treatment
and the prevention of more serious problems. The
intra-oral camera is also great for before &
after photos as well as supporting documentation
for insurance claims. You have to see it to
believe it.
Surgical Telescopes
When the doctors and hygienists work on your
teeth, they will most likely be wearing a funny
looking pair of glasses. These are actually
surgical telescopes that allow them to see and
evaluate intricate details as they work. These
special "glasses" help us to make tiny
but important adjustments to the procedure that
would go unnoticed with the naked eye. They are
an invaluable tool in providing the most precise,
beautiful dentistry possible.
Laser Cavity Detection
Studies
show that 50% of tooth decay goes undetected by
present diagnostic methods. The new KaVo DIAGNOdent
aids in diagnosing hidden decay more accurately
and confidently. Most tooth decay occurs in the
complex anatomy on the chewing surfaces where
deep pits and grooves are difficult to keep clean.
This also makes diagnosis with traditional methods
difficult, because the outer tooth surface often
appears to be intact.
The DIAGNOdent is a new high tech laser system.
It utilizes laser light of a defined wavelength
to help detect and quantify demineralized tooth
substances without x-ray exposure. This revolutionary
new device is easy to use and turns caries detection
into a harmless, measurable, more reproducible
and exacting procedure.
With DIAGNOdent the doctor will be able to
make better treatment decisions earlier, whether
they call for further watching of suspect areas
to monitor changes, preventive measures or placing
a small filling. With the new KaVo DIAGNOdent,
we are able to detect the invisible. |
